I have an ebay friend who's husband lost almost 100 lbs. in less than a year! No weight loss pills and none of those off the wall diets, either. How awesome is that?! Anyway, she posted in a group we're in that she has decided to write an ebook on how he lost that much weight. Finally.....some BEAUTIFUL weather today in South Central PA!! 86 degrees, sun is shining and time for a burger on the grill. I've managed to list some ebay auctions today, do some tweeting, get some well-deserved sun, scrape wallpaper border and plant some flowers. Break time sure feels great right now. Waiting for the dh to get off work and then it's back to the yard to do some more work. Lord, why can't we have this weather all year 'round? I know, it's an appreciation thing! Well, going to brew the afternoon coffee and do some more work.

My Kids on the Local News

My sons, Justin and Quintin and my soon to be daughter in law, Lexi, decided to go fishing on Friday at Kiwanis Lake. Fox 43 happened to be there on the gorgeous day and filmed them! How exciting! Obviously, we watched the news last night and Quintin enjoyed watching himself that much that he had tears flowing! How cute! LOL He said that it was the best day of his life!!! And he's only 7! Watch the clip....

What a weekend!

Well, I decided to have my "Meltdown" BEFORE I took Justin up to Fort Indiantown Gap! Yes, the upset mommy here, but I'm proud and do wish him well in what he's doing. Yesterday was my meltdown day. Couldn't help myself. I was up bright and early this morning...4:30am, to be exact. Picked him up at my moms at 5am and headed up the highway to drop him off for bootcamp. He will be having a graduation, which I'm still not clear on why, but they're having one on Thursday at The Gap and I will be there. He, then, will head down to South Carolina where it all starts! 9 weeks of bootcamp. From there, he will go to Aberdeen, MD for training for 13 weeks. Good thing is, he will be able to come home on weekends from MD as long as he's a "good boy"! LOL
Note to self.....take camera to the graduation on Thursday! LOL

New Year's Eve Already!

So, I've been busy getting everything ready for New Year's Eve! We're having a party, but not just any party. My oldest son, Justin, is leaving on January 5th for bootcamp for the Army National Guard! So we decided to have a "send off" party on New Year's Eve for him.
We've got family and friends coming and we're going to have a blast! I'm hoping he enjoys his evening. He and his fiance are going up to Hershey to watch the KISS drop, which should be fun. I've never gone to any of those events as my husband and I like to stay home where it's "safe"! LOL
We'll be eating plenty of food, drinking plenty of drink and playing lots of games and hopefully getting a movie in. My 2 oldest kids, Miranda and Justin, have decided to have a ping pong tournie! I think I'll have a glass of champagne punch before I play! LOL Maybe I'll win!
I'll be sure to take some pic's of the festivities and share them all. Can't wait until tomorrow night!
